PIXEL ARRAY DETECTORS
Advanced X-Ray Detection - Trusted for Clarity & Precision

High-Speed Capture & Flexible Configurations
We deliver direct imaging x-ray detectors and sensors spanning the hard and tender x-ray regimes
For high-flux, high dynamic range x-ray scattering experiments
- Dynamic Range: Extremely High
- Frame Rate: Up to 1.1 kHz
- Max Photons/Pixel/Frame: 4.7 × 10⁷
- Sustained Count Rate: 5 × 10⁸ photons/pixel/sec
- Frames per Burst: Continuous Streaming
- Sensor Material: Si for 5-20 keV and CdTe for > 20 keV
Ideal for applications that require large dynamic range and accurate photon statistics: Ptychography, X-Ray Photon Correlation Spectroscopy (XPCS), Coherent Diffractive Imaging (CDI), and SAXS/WAXS Scattering.
The MM-PAD integrates charge continuously. When the pixel nears saturation, the charge is removed and counted digitally. This allows the detectors to handle very large photon flux without dead time. This allows the detector to handle very large photon flux without dead time.
For ultra-fast burst imaging of transient phenomena
- Frame Rate: 6.6 MHz (burst)
- Max Photons/Pixel/Frame: ~10³–10⁴
- Sustained Count Rate: Not optimized for sustained flux
- Frames per Burst: Up to 8 frame
- Sensor Material: Si for 5-20 keV and CdTe for > 20 keV
Ideal for applications that require capturing extremely fast events: Shock Physics, Materials Under Extreme Conditions, Time-Resolved X-Ray Experiments, Destructive Experiments.
The Keck-PAD captures frames extremely rapidly, and each pixel stores multiple frames locally on-chip. Images are then read out afterward (~1 ms per frame). This allows the detector to resolve ultrafast physical events.
